This virtual field trip in Google Slides & Seesaw contains video links, images, reading passages, exercises, writing activities, and more.

Students also complete reading and writing assignments along with watching videos and completing thought-provoking exercises. ⭐Leprechaun tricks is a create a board game project based learning created for 3rd grade students. The activities included will provide your students with math practice in an engaging way. This resource contains a standards-based unit in printable PDF. Students will be reviewing one and two-step word problems and create their own to complete a game board!

 

⭐ This project-based learning task involves using 3rd grade math standards to solve problems related to creating a game board.

 

Standards Addressed:

  • 3.OA.A.3 Use multiplication and division within 100 to solve word problems in situations involving equal groups, arrays, and measurement quantities, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
  • 3.OA.D.8 Solve two-step word problems using the four operations. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.

 

3. St. Patrick’s Day Reading Escape Room & Webscape™

 

⭐ This 2nd and 3rd grade St. Patrick’s Day reading comprehension escape room is a truly immersive experience. Students read passages and answer skill-based questions to make like a leprechaun and fill their closet with green garments. In this escape room, students are asked to complete four unique challenges. Each challenge requires students to read passages and answer multiple choice questions. Students add their answers to the Decoder Tool and complete each challenge to successfully complete all the challenges and avoid a pinch!
