Description

“Whodunit” Reading Comprehension Escape Room – 2nd & 3rd Grade

⭐ This 2nd and 3rd grade reading comprehension escape room is a truly immersive experience. Students read short fiction and nonfiction passages and answer skill-based questions as they work their way through a “whodunit” mystery to crack the case. Students must discover four clues to solve this mystery: the manifest, the passport, the menu, and the parcel. In this escape room, students complete four unique challenges. Each challenge requires students to read the fiction and nonfiction passages and then answer the questions to discover clues. Students add their answers to the Mystery Decoder Tool to help them unlock the secret codes and complete each challenge.

⭐ Comes in both digital Google Slides and printable versions, so it’s perfect for classroom and distance learning. In the digital version, the Decoder is a Google Sheet that self corrects and tells each student when they can continue to the next challenge.

⭐ Integrated videos, thematic items, and a “whodunit” storyline come together to engage students while developing and reviewing reading comprehension skills.

*Please note: This does include embedded videos that are hosted via YouTube. Please ensure you and your students have access to YouTube.
