⭐ Cupcake’s Galore is a project based learning unit based all around preparing cupcakes for a bake sale to raise money for new playground equipment. This resource contains a standards-based unit in both printable PDF and Google Slides versions – so it’s the activity to increase engagement and interest for the classroom or distance learning. Students follow instructions to plan and bake various cupcake recipes using the ingredients they have. Additional “challenge activities” engage students and develop further understanding of the concepts and skills.

  • 5.NBT.A.1 Recognize that in a multi-digit number, a digit in one place represents 10 times as much as it represents in the place to its right and 1/10 of what it represents in the place to its left.

This resource contains a standards-based unit in both printable PDF and Google Slides versions – so it’s the perfect activity to increase engagement and interest for the classroom or distance learning. Students follow instructions on quilt making while measuring lengths, reading clues, counting and drawing lines, dividing into equal square units, and more. Additional “challenge activities” engage students and develop further understanding of the concepts and skills.

  • 5.NBT.B.6 Find whole number quotients of whole numbers with up to four-digit dividends and two-digit divisors. Illustrate and explain using equations, arrays, and/or area models.
