My student’s loved this activity. I was looking for something to do since we didn’t get a field trip this year. I broke it up to 3-4 slides a few times a week and assigned them that way. Will use it again even if we aren’t distance learning.

I wanted to make the last week of distance learning fun. I created a virtual field trip packet to make connections with the lessons we learned during the year. The most popular one was this Disney resource. Despite the fact many are going through a Disney World withdrawal due to the park’s closure, this brought smiles to their faces. They not only enjoyed seeing the park and going on virtual rides, they were engaged in the reading passages. They loved the pointer feature to help track their reading and they enjoyed highlighting text evidence. The sticker passport was also a favorite. It became a quest to find the stickers which encouraged them to complete every page. I was a bit rusty trying to figure out the use of highlighters and stickers, but Julie was quick to answer my questions and it was smooth sailing. I learned that using the resource in edit mode, allowed me to access all of the wonderful features. I highly recommend these virtual field trips and am going back to purchase more.
English is for Everyone –
I loved this resource. I can’t thank you enough. It’s such a complete virtual field trip. I loved how you worked a fun drawing video in there for a brain break. Honestly, I can’t say enough great things. PLEASE PLEASE make some more! I know that my kids would love to learn about the pyramids, or where chocolate comes from, etc.
