When I first bought this for my 4th graders, I didn’t realize it was for 2nd-3rd grade. I thought it would be too easy for them, but it was actually a little challenging for them. They enjoyed the challenge while it still being fun.

This resource was clearly written. I used this resource with 7th grade special education students with language and learning disabilitites.

I tried this out before assigning it to students. The only thing I did not like is that it won’t tell you which question is wrong. I can already feel the frustration building in my second grade class. I will still try both of the escape rooms I purchased to see how my students do.
Edit: I tried this with my second graders, and it did not go well. It was more frustrating for them than fun. Honestly, the questions themselves are fine. The biggest problem was the wording of the clues. I understand they are space-themed, but if kids do not understand words like “Proxima B,” the clues become difficult to understand.
The other issue was the one I predicted earlier: the game does not tell students what they got wrong, so they have to figure it out based on whether the clue sounds right or wrong. Again, if they do not already have background knowledge about space, this becomes confusing and not very helpful.
The questions may be written for second grade, but the overall structure of the game is not second-grade friendly. That is why I am changing my review to a 1. I also regret buying two of these games because I do not want to put my second graders through that experience. I like the idea but this is not second grade friendly.
