This was so well done, but a lot difficult for my students. They really wanted to do well, but needed a lot of support for the higher levels of the activity. So worth the cost, but needed to be done in small groups with support.

  26. TheCreoleClassroom –

My students were very engaged with this resource and loved it!
The only issue I have with it is that after you finish a challenge, it tells you something is wrong, but not exactly what part was wrong. It makes it a lot more challenging since out of the six questions you’re not sure what exactly needs to be fixed, making them doubt themselves even when they are correct partially. I had to guide my students for what the sentence is supposed to say in order for them to find the correct answers.

    • jonathan –

I’m so glad to hear your students were engaged with this resource! We purposefully designed this resource to not tell students which answers are incorrect to encourage critical thinking and ensure students are reading and thinking. Otherwise, many students would just guess the answers without reading or thinking. I hope this helps!

  33. Hollis Hemmings –

I am using this resource for test prep with struggling students. Students enjoyed the missions- and were engaged. I did have to monitor and let them know which questions they had wrong so they didn’t change correct answers. I plan on buying a few more and will see if they can independently complete the escape room while I have guided reading groups.

  34. Rachel G. –

This resource is one of my favorites! I can often find resources that ask students to identify the text feature, but this is one of the few that allow students to use the text features as well!
